About Me
I
have been interested in science fiction since as far back as I can remember.
As a young boy I would be allowed to stay up late on a Saturday night and
watch the late night horror flicks or sci-fi B Movies. As a young lad, the
site of Lon Chaney Jr as the wolfman used to send me hiding behind the chair
in terror. And the awesome sight of the giant ants in the sci-fi classic ‘Them
(1954)’ Gave me nightmares for a week.
After a while I started to learn that these terrifying creatures were nothing
more then models or an actor in a suit, and I began to appreciate the art
of holding an audience in suspense.
As young boy Spielberg’s 1978 classic Close Encounters of the Third
Kind had a profound influence on me, and I began to take an interest in things
associated with Space.
When I turned 19 I began to take an interest in writing and soon started writing
my own short stories involving science fiction themes. As an unknown writer
I found it impossible to find a publisher, but this didn’t stop me from
writing, and in 1998 I wrote a novel called The Angel Committee.
